All I can say is wow! It was an unforgetable experience that brought together our school and our community. We had so many veterans at our school wanting to help and participate in every aspect of the event. Our local veteran clubs were thrilled and glad they could help and be a part of it. Overall the event was a huge success and we achived our goal which was to bring the community and our school together. We had over 150 motorcycles escort the wall in along with state police and some of us rodein our personal vehicles.
The Traveling Wall helped build our group from 200 to 400+ veterans and before we had only about 15 active members which now we are well over 50 active group members. I wan't to personally thank you Leah for all your help, we honestly couldn't have done it without you. Im hoping to convince our group to do this event every year or every other year. Thanks again!

"The official name of our committee was Show-Me Hero Salute, thru the Sunset Hills Historical Society. ( 501C3 organization.)
June 12 thru 16, 2013 will go down as a historical event in St.Louis. We had 14 committee's and over 200 volunteers, we were open for viewing 24 hours a day. Opening day, we had an escort of over 200 vehicles, motorcycles and even a fire truck for the 5 mile escort to Lindbergh High School. Day 2, 3, 4 and 5 we had on air, TV, radio and newspaper personalities for Master of Ceremonies for each program which lasted one hour. I could go on and on! I want to thank A.V.T.T. for helping make this a historical event for the St. Louis area. You were great to work with!"

"The AVTT staff have a patch in their mobile store that says "I touched the Wall, the Wall touched me" ...I've got one sewn on my Patriot Guard ride vest now, and that sums up a truly major event in so few words. Hosting the AVTT was more than a community event, it was a passion, a fellowship, a time of tears and laughter, of love, hope and healing. Veterans of all wars plus police and firefighers came together, worked with the awesome AVTT staff and created a moment in time we will never forget. We are now a band of brothers and sisters with a new mission to support our county veterans, and we plan to host the AVTT again in 5 years; we will never forget!."

"Recently it was our privilege to host the American Veterans’ Traveling Tribute to our admission-free American Heroes Air Show on Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Fort Myers, Florida. The AVTT Cost of Freedom Tribute with their scale-replica of the iconic Vietnam Memorial Wall provided our event with an emotional center-piece for a moving Naturalization Ceremony hosted by our partners with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services team"

"The Palm Springs Air Museum recently had the honor to host the AVTT Traveling Vietnam Wall; it was here as the culminating event to a season long commemoration of the Vietnam War and those that served in it. The experience we had with the Traveling Wall and the AVTT personnel who assisted us in bringing it in was absolutely superb. The work they do and the exhibits they create are professional, well thought out and most importantly a fitting tribute to the brave men and women who have served our Country. Our Museum, without hesitation, highly recommends this organization as any community would greatly benefit from the important and deeply touching experience they help to create."

"I have been meaning to let you know how wonderful it was to work with AVTT. You all were excellent especially Preston Fritz. We really enjoyed meeting him and working with him on making this event truly an educational and noteworthy experience. Thus, thank you AVTT!"

"Of the 400 plus speeches I have given over the years perhaps the one I gave at the SCV Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on September 26, 2013 is the most important to me.
I spoke about "Dreaming Big" and how the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Vietnam had given us the opportunity to "Dream Big."
I was truly honored for this opportunity"
