Writings On This Wall
I wasn't personally able to attend, but my ex-husband, Tony Bemetz, who is himself an ex-Marine, was driving his yellow car which he has decorated to honor all branches of the military. He was also escorting the mother of the last American pilot to be lost in the Viet Nam war, in this parade. Tony had sent me pictures and told me about this event, but seeing the videos really brought it to life for me. I had recently given him my old Air Force uniform to display in his car, and seeing it used in this way really blessed me sooo much!! I am proud to have served my country, and I am very proud of our men and women in uniform serving our country today. I appreciate efforts like this to honor our veterans and support our troops. Thank you so much for bringing this tribute to our little town. It is amazing to see and experience. Our whole family learned a great deal about our service men and women. It was so nice to see so many Veteran's gathered together and to thank them for their service. Joy
