There is a daily contest on the campground where campers test their Guitar Hero skills for daily semifinalist prizes and a grand prize awarded on Saturday, Aug. 14.

The World Pickle Lickin’ Federation’s World Championship Pickle Lickin’ Contest - This is the grand daddy of all Pickle Lickin’s contests and is guaranteed to move the facial muscles of fans and participants alike.

Miss Buffalo Chip Pageant - All the girls we love modeling biker attire at 8:15 pm, lingerie at 10:15 pm and swim suits at midnight. The Miss Buffalo Chip Pageant, gained international attention when then Republican Presidential Candidate joked from the Buffalo Chip stage that he had encouraged his wife Cindy to enter so that she could be the only woman to be both the First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip!

Top Shelf Lounge - Step on Up to the Top Shelf Lounge for the best concert viewing to be had at the Legendary Buffalo Chip. The Top Shelf Lounge is about 70 feet out from center front of the main stage. You are on the penthouse level where the sound and view is incredible, and truly the best that we offer. You can view from the decks or from the covered area. A cash bar is located in the facility for your drinking pleasure. Occupancy is limited, so you won't feel crowded. You will need a general admission pass to the campground in order to buy and enjoy this upgrade.

Illumination Fire Troupe - Illumination has been dazzling audiences in and around the Twin Cities with the HOTTEST act in town. They are a fire performance troupe offering a variety of unique talents which include fire eating, breathing and spinning, as well as stilt walking and other circus arts. Whether it’s just one dancer or a ten piece troupe, Illumination will light up the night with unforgettable performances in the realm of the sensual, spiritual, or seductive and insure the audience feels connected to the show.

Main Stage: Dave Mason Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Mason in 2004 for having been a founding member of the rock group Traffic. They were a pivotal rock band and Mason wrote classic tunes while with them, like “Feelin’ Alright,” and “Hole in My Shoe.” “Feelin’ Alright” is among rock history’s most covered tunes.

Tumbleweed Junction (6th - 14th) Outlaw Country with a kick, this band carries the energy of southern rock merged with country culture and it only gets better when you see Tumbleweed Junction live at the Buffalo Chip.

It’s something of a backwards American Idol and a spot-on Gong Show, we’re looking for the campers that have the biggest balls and least amount of inhibition to perform the number ones of the last 4 decades. Exhibition Hall: Motorcycle as Art August 7th through August 13th 10 am to 5 pm daily Michael Lichter revealed the theme, participants and the logo for the 10th annual Motorcycle as Art exhibit to be displayed at the Buffalo Chip. Entitled “Eternal Combustion - 30 in the Wind,” this year’s exhibit will focus on the explosion of interest and passion for custom motorcycles. The exhibit will feature the works of 15 pairs of custom builders and, for the first time, the renowned photographer’s own photography and limited edition prints. Free access and admission to the general public.

Abate Rodeo - On tap this year are events for individual participants such as the always entertaining Keg Push, Plank Race, Slalom, and Slow Race. Plus there will be some new games that will test the rider’s skills and at the same time participants will want to watch. We'll have events for women riders and also team events including the Weenie Bite, Joust and the safer-than- it-sounds Drive by Shooting event.

They were formed in 1985 from an earlier popular group, City Kidd, which had its roots dating back to 1982. They scored a deal with Geffen shortly after changing the name to Tesla, after the inventor Nikola Tesla, who was a radio pioneer.

Exhibition Hall: Motorcycle as Art August 7th through August 13th 10 am to 5 pm daily Michael Lichter revealed the theme, participants and the logo for the 10th annual Motorcycle as Art exhibit to be displayed at the Buffalo Chip. Entitled “Eternal Combustion - 30 in the Wind,” this year’s exhibit will focus on the explosion of interest and passion for custom motorcycles. The exhibit will feature the works of 15 pairs of custom builders and, for the first time, the renowned photographer’s own photography and limited edition prints. Free access and admission to the general public.

Guns of Freedom - Yes! You get to shoot machine guns at the Chip! This display of exotic firearms gives adrenaline junkies the chance to feel the fire. Over 65 models are live and ready for you to pull the trigger. Enjoy the rush of this hands-on experience every day throughout Sturgis Bike Week. The machine gun range is located on the Buffalo Chip Sports Complex just north of the east box office entrance. The shoot shack and Guns of Freedom welcome you to be a part of the action with live rounds and automatic weapons dating back to WWI.

Abate Rodeo - On tap this year are events for individual participants such as the always entertaining Keg Push, Plank Race, Slalom, and Slow Race. Plus there will be some new games that will test the rider’s skills and at the same time participants will want to watch. We'll have events for women riders and also team events including the Weenie Bite, Joust and the safer-than- it-sounds Drive by Shooting event.

Guitar Hero - Guitar Hero is of the fastest growing video games in the US with continuing interest among young and old rock fans alike. There is a daily contest on the campground where campers test their Guitar Hero skills for daily semifinalist prizes and a grand prize awarded on Saturday, Aug. 14.

The World Pickle Lickin’ Federation’s World Championship Pickle Lickin’ Contest - This is the grand daddy of all Pickle Lickin’s contests and is guaranteed to move the facial muscles of fans and participants alike.

Miss Buffalo Chip Pageant - All the girls we love modeling biker attire at 8:15 pm, lingerie at 10:15 pm and swim suits at midnight. The Miss Buffalo Chip Pageant, gained international attention when then Republican Presidential Candidate joked from the Buffalo Chip stage that he had encouraged his wife Cindy to enter so that she could be the only woman to be both the First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip!

Top Shelf Lounge - Step on Up to the Top Shelf Lounge for the best concert viewing to be had at the Legendary Buffalo Chip. The Top Shelf Lounge is about 70 feet out from center front of the main stage. You are on the penthouse level where the sound and view is incredible, and truly the best that we offer. You can view from the decks or from the covered area. A cash bar is located in the facility for your drinking pleasure. Occupancy is limited, so you won't feel crowded. You will need a general admission pass to the campground in order to buy and enjoy this upgrade.

Illumination Fire Troupe - Illumination has been dazzling audiences in and around the Twin Cities with the HOTTEST act in town. They are a fire performance troupe offering a variety of unique talents which include fire eating, breathing and spinning, as well as stilt walking and other circus arts. Whether it’s just one dancer or a ten piece troupe, Illumination will light up the night with unforgettable performances in the realm of the sensual, spiritual, or seductive and insure the audience feels connected to the show.

Main Stage: Tesla - Tesla still has its original four members including singer Jeff Keith, guitarist Frank Hannon, drummer Troy Luccketta and guitarist Brian Wheat, as well as new guitarist Dave Rude. They were formed in 1985 from an earlier popular group, City Kidd, which had its roots dating back to 1982. They scored a deal with Geffen shortly after changing the name to Tesla, after the inventor Nikola Tesla, who was a radio pioneer.

Entitled “Eternal Combustion - 30 in the Wind,” this year’s exhibit will focus on the explosion of interest and passion for custom motorcycles. The exhibit will feature the works of 15 pairs of custom builders and, for the first time, the renowned photographer’s own photography and limited edition prints. Guns of Freedom - Yes! You get to shoot machine guns at the Chip! This display of exotic firearms gives adrenaline junkies the chance to feel the fire. The machine gun range is located on the Buffalo Chip Sports Complex just north of the east box office entrance. 2K10 Challenge Bike Auction - The Buffalo Chip teamed world class custom bike builder Michael Prugh with the professional staff and state of the art equipment at Western Dakota Tech to teach students the art, craft and science of building a custom motorcycle. Parts were contributed by a number of Legends Ride sponsors, including Interstate Batteries, Jaybrake, Performance Machine, Custom Chrome, Akzo/Nobel Lesonal, Hot Leathers and Black Hills Harley-Davidson.

Pitchfork Fondue August - Your cowboy chefs, all from the high plains around Sturgis, South Dakota, prepare your steaks with a special secret cowboy-chef blend of oils and seasonings that's been handed down from generations of the pioneers that came before us. Entitled “Eternal Combustion - 30 in the Wind,” this year’s exhibit will focus on the explosion of interest and passion for custom motorcycles. The exhibit will feature the works of 15 pairs of custom builders and, for the first time, the renowned photographer’s own photography and limited edition prints. The machine gun range is located on the Buffalo Chip Sports Complex just north of the east box office entrance. The exhibit will feature the works of 15 pairs of custom builders and, for the first time, the renowned photographer’s own photography and limited edition prints. The machine gun range is located on the Buffalo Chip Sports Complex just north of the east box office entrance. Entitled “Eternal Combustion - 30 in the Wind,” this year’s exhibit will focus on the explosion of interest and passion for custom motorcycles. The exhibit will feature the works of 15 pairs of custom builders and, for the first time, the renowned photographer’s own photography and limited edition prints. Main Stage: Doobie Brothers - From humble beginnings playing biker venues in Northern California to one of the most successful rock bands in history, The Doobie Brothers have made their mark on the music world, while never forgetting the people who represent the start of their success. And, guitarist Patrick Simmons provides a great example of why the Buffalo Chip and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is so important to so many bikers. It was at the Chip that rocker Simmons met biker journalist Cris Sommer. And, like so many other Sturgis bikers, the love they found in Sturgis has endured. Tumbleweed Junction (6th - 14th) Outlaw Country with a kick, this band carries the energy of southern rock merged with country culture and it only gets better when you see Tumbleweed Junction live at the Buffalo Chip.
Karaoke August 6th through August 14th 3 pm to 5 pm The stage is all yours during the Karaoke Happy Hour! It’s something of a backwards American Idol and a spot-on Gong Show, we’re looking for the campers that have the biggest balls and least amount of inhibition to perform the number ones of the last 4 decades. We don’t care if you chose Britney Spears or Elvis, just get up there and sing your heart out. *Please bring your own air guitar

Military Tribute - The Buffalo Chip’s annual celebration of freedom and tribute to our veterans and active duty military personnel has become the largest celebration of freedom in the motorcycle industry. The 2010 celebration will include the traveling Vietnam Wall and Golden Dog Tags Exhibit honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedom. Exhibit for 10 days, awards ceremony on Thursday, August 12th

Guns of Freedom - Yes! You get to shoot machine guns at the Chip! This display of exotic firearms gives adrenaline junkies the chance to feel the fire. Over 65 models are live and ready for you to pull the trigger. Enjoy the rush of this hands-on experience every day throughout Sturgis Bike Week. The machine gun range is located on the Buffalo Chip Sports Complex just north of the east box office entrance. The shoot shak and Guns of Freedom welcome you to be a part of the action with live rounds and automatic weapons dating back to WWI.

Charlie Brechtel - Charlie Brechtel, also known as “Good Time Charlie,” will stir up the Sturgis motorcycle rally with his unique biker blues. Charlie aspires to be the greatest biker band to exist; he lives, breathes and excretes the biker history, legacy and brotherhood that makes up his biker soul.
Dog Leg Preacher - For those who like scorching lead guitars, thunderous bass, pounding drums, and over the top vocals, Dog Leg Preacher will deliver to Legendary Buffalo Chip audiences during the Sturgis motorcycle rally in 2010.
Dwight York Dwight’s comedy will shock you with one-liners that sucker punch. Dwight’s adult humor is.... smart, funny and to the point, but not exactly the point you might be expecting. Expect only to laugh.
